After experiencing 113 degree heat near Lake Havasu, Ariz., we had quite a shock camping at more than 10,000 feet when the temperature plunged to around 40 degrees overnight. Suffice it to say, we weren't properly prepared for the cold. ;-) Here's the view we had as we approached southern Utah:
