In a discussion about the playoffs, Mark Wharton, the athletic director at Chattanooga and the FCS Championship Committee Chair, had this to say about the Ivy League heading to the postseason for the first time (LINK):
“We’re excited about it. We often look at some of those Ivy League games when they play the Northeast Conference or the CAA. And I think it’s going to be very interesting about how we measure the 10 games versus the 11 games or 12 games. But we’re really excited to have them in there and see how they stack up. And we have a new committee member, and looking forward to learning more and having those historic programs in the playoff.”

EXTRA POINT
When Mrs. BGA and I took the train around the country in the spring of 2024, That Certain Nittany Lion ’16 had a hard time keeping the grass and dandelions in check with our electric tractor. This time around, TCNL ’16 caught a break from Mother Nature while he was house/dog sitting here at our Vermont hillside home.
Bistering hot temperature and a lack of rain pretty much fried the lawn – in no small part because of the buzz cut I’d given it the day before I left. To be honest, it looks pretty bad out there right now, but give us a couple of rainstorms and some cooler weather and I expect I’ll be complaining about the grass just like always.
