Football Players Get the Message

Long before Duke, Dartmouth football coach Buddy Teevens made clear the expectations he has for how his players behave off the field. Another illustration: A large turnout of Big Green players for yesterday's dinner discussion on sexual violence prevention entitled More Than a Few Good Men. From a story in today's Daily Dartmouth:

The mostly male audience was comprised largely of Dartmouth football players who were encouraged by Head Coach Buddy Teevens '79 to attend the event. Football player Julian Collins '08 appreciated (the speaker's) assessment of the problem and suggestions to help.

"Instead of just teaching women what to do, he wants men to have an active role in it as well. It's a really good message," Collins said.
