Now that Casey Cramer is back in the NFL, is Jay Fiedler next? Turns out his release from Tampa Bay may have been at least in part a clerical maneuver by the team. So this story in the St. Petersburg Times suggests. Tampa Bay General Manager Bruce Allen: "We built a relationship with (Fiedler) that I think could continue down the road." Fiedler's manager, the ever-quotable Brian Levy: "... (T)he upside is that this stint allowed Jay to learn the offense. I expect to see him in a Bucs uniform when he is ready." ... The red flag in the whole thing is that Fiedler might require another surgery if his shoulder doesn't turn about.
The Ivy League web site has a listing of players currently on NFL rosters. (It hasn't yet been updated to include Cramer, so I took the liberty of adding him. ;-)
