Casey Cramer Claimed by the Titans

The guess that Casey Cramer would be back in the NFL after being waived by the Carolina Panthers didn't take long to come true. The former Dartmouth tight end was claimed over the weekend by the Tennessee Titans, who had him on their practice squad before he left two years ago to join the Panthers. ... Speaking of Cramer, he was interviewed as part of the Young Americans Project, an undertaking of four young men (three of whom played lacrosse for Dartmouth) who traveled 17,500 miles around the country in an RV, shot 100 hours of tape and conducted 220 interviews according to this story in USA Today. You HAVE to read (there will be a quiz) their hilarious and revealing account of Casey's life on the fringes of the NFL. Among the things we learn, is that in the locker room ...
"Casey has held his breath in the ice bath for as long as possible and he’s raced a teammate to finish a quart of mayonnaise (they both polished off their jars in around three minutes). Another time his teammates gave him a bunch of goldfish and paid him for each one he ate. He swallowed twelve little guys, then three big ones."
This blogger thinks Jay Fiedler will get the first call when an NFL quarterback goes down. He might not be the first, but I agree if he's healthy he'll have a helmet on before a handful of games have been played.

One of the more interested viewers when Northwestern defeated Miami of Ohio, 21-3, on Thursday night, according to the Union Leader, was UNH coach Sean McDonnell. His Wildcats play those other Wildcats this weekend. Another prediction: UNH will score more points against Northwestern than Miami did ;-)
