Former QB's Son Starring in Hawaii

A promising quarterback at Dartmouth in the early '80s, Darryl Wong '82 suffered an injury, got stuck behind future NFLer Jeff Kemp and never really got to show his stuff for the Big Green. Still, he made it to NFL camps with the San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers.

Darryl (Wong) Kan, is now an orthopedic surgeon in Hawaii and offensive coordinator at Punahou School where this story reports that his son Brett Kan is a promising 6-2, 190 quarterback with a 3.9 grade point average. The younger Kan, who threw for 25 touchdowns and a state-high 2,782 yards last year attended football camps at Boston College, Stanford, Oregon State, California and Princeton. According to the story, his mom has her eye on Princeton, his dad is staying out of it and Brett has his eye on one day making the NFL.
