UNH Receiver On The Ball

Thanks to a subscriber for sharing a link to a USA Today story about New Hampshire wide receiver David Ball. The piece notes that the 6-2 senior standout from Orange, Vt., has evolved "from an unwanted high school senior from small town Vermont into a legitimate NFL draft prospect who is within reach of breaking a handful of Division I-AA receiving records set 20 years ago by the player Ball emulated as a young athlete — the legendary Jerry Rice." The records Ball is challenging:
  • Touchdown Catches - Rice 50, Ball 45
  • Yards Receiving - Rice 4,693, Ball 3,541
  • Games With at Least One Touchdown - Record 29, Rice 26, Ball 22
  • 100-Yard Receiving Games - Rice 23, Ball 17
