Oh Boise! ... And More Recruiting Rumors

If you missed the Boise State-Oklahoma game last night, do not miss the replay when it shows up on ESPN Classic, which it almost certainly will. It was probably the most entertaining football game I've ever seen. Boise State's play calling at the end of regulation and in overtime was remarkable. ... I found myself putting my writer's cap on at the end of the game and wondering how in the world you could write that game up in 750 words and I'm not sure you could. Just a fabulous game. ... (I enjoyed Penn State's win also ;-).

Considering Dartmouth, according to this story, is lineman Bobby Christopher of Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale. Christopher is also an accomplished heavyweight wrestler. ... Another high school senior who hasn't ruled out Dartmouth is Landmark Christian quarterback Matt Moody of Georgia. While this story suggests he's likely to walk on at Georgia Tech, the high school teammate of Dartmouth freshman linebacker Zech Glaize still might have a change of heart given the depth of the quarterback talent at Tech.

Mike Shannon, who did such a good job snapping for Dartmouth last fall as a fifth-year senior, will be rooting for Duke the next few years after his big brother (younger but bigger ;-) Chris committed to the Blue Devils. To read the start of the column 6-foot-6, 290-pound Chris has been writing for ESPN, click here. (To read the full story you need to be an "insider," AKA a paying customer. ...) This story referred to Chris as "the top remaining uncommitted offensive lineman on the board."

The blog mentioned yesterday that Brown's Zak DeOssie and UNH's David Ball are both headed to the East-West Shrine Game. To see who they will be playing with, click here to find the full East roster. The head coach of the East team, by the way, is one Don Shula.
