Hitting The Road

Buddy Teevens' bike ride is the subject of this story in the Manchester Union Leader. Barring his bike ending up in Bogota or Berlin, he should be on the road this morning.

The plan is for Teevens to call the "Buddy Bikes World Communication Headquarters" here on the west slope of Moose Mountain tonight and each night during the ride. Given the vagaries of such a trip, it would probably be a surprise if we talk every day, but when we do touch base there will be an update on the blog the next morning. (Note to readers: If you see Coach Teevens, talk to him or take pictures of him, feel free to send along an email with your update. Also, if you have local knowledge about roads and routes, email "buddybikes at gmail.com" and he'll get the information.)

The Daily Dartmouth has a story about the Green-White scrimmage with a few thoughts about next fall as well as about the incoming class of recruits.

Excerpts from a recent email about the Dartmouth Football Golf Classic slated for Hanover Country Club on June 16:
We kick off with lunch at 11:30 am under the Friends of Dartmouth Football Tent at the golf course. The golf will start with a 1:00 pm shotgun start and conclude with cocktails, dinner and a raffle and auction!
All sponsors will be recognized with a large sign on a tee or green or in the tent. Please contact Curt Oberg ‘78 to make arrangements to become a sponsor or send him e-mail at Curt.Oberg at Dartmouth.edu.
Donations for auction and raffle prizes are also needed! Have a vacation home you would consider donating for a weekend? Have a membership at an exclusive golf club? Donate a round for 3. Want to take a group fly-fishing or skiing, have tickets to the Red Sox or other major sports team? Make a contribution and help raise money for the Dartmouth Football program!
