Part of the mystery about Anthony Gargiulo losing his spot on the Calgary Stampers' defensive line was revealed in a story in the Calgary Sun. It noted: "The first player to go down was backup defensive lineman Mike Labinjo, who was slated for plenty of action with Anthony Gargiulo on the shelf with an ankle sprain." After a terrific start to his pro career, the former Dartmouth defensive end has had no luck at all with injuries, first being sidelined by a knee and then by an ankle. Whether this is the same ankle he hurt before the team's bye week isn't noted, but it's too bad either way.
