Laughing Out Loud

Somebody has way too much time on their hands. A few of these are kind of mean, but I found myself sitting here laughing out loud at this "separated at birth," posting featuring a selection of UNH players in advance of tonight's game at Ball State.

Green Alert Take: Having a fan of another team post something like this is almost reason enough to wish you were playing them. Or not.

The Muncie Star Press has a preview of the UNH-Ball State game. No real UNH detail there or in this 5 Things to Watch about the game, although the latter story does include this kicker:
Before the season started, who thought Ball State would face a must-win situation against New Hampshire? But that's exactly where the Cardinals find themselves after losing to North Texas and entering this week with a myriad of questions. A loss to UNH -- especially if the performance would be a yawner like last week's -- could be devastating in terms of continued fan interest in the season. After all, who would think Ball State is capable of going on the road and winning at Army and Auburn the next two weeks if the Cardinals open with losses to North Texas and New Hampshire?
Not much of a Holy Cross preview in the Worcester Telegram, but the roundup of college games in the area does include this thought from coach Tom Gilmore about quarterback Dominic Randolph, who passed for 414 yards last week in a sluggish win over Georgetown:
“Based on what Georgetown did and what they took away from him, what he did is remarkable. They were bracketing our inside receivers, they were blitzing quite a bit, they did a great job of disguising things.

“You get the impression it wasn’t one of his better games, but in reality it really was. When you have a team that’s taking away what we want to do and he has to go to his second, third and fourth options and make plays a couple times with his feet, that’s really telling you he’s progressed to that next level.”
Green Alert Take: Here's the gameplan for playing Holy Cross. Bracket their inside receivers, blitz quite a bit, and do a great job of disguising things.

Another quarterback apparently getting a look from Dartmouth is 6-foot-1, 180-pound Kyle Boden of Karns High School in Tennessee according to this News Sentinel 10 Questions feature. Boden has completed 67.3 percent of his passes through three games, averaging 237 yards in the air.

Did you realize the Dartmouth men's soccer team is ranked No. 6 in the nation? And we're talking all schools, not a subdivision. The Big Green tied UConn last night, 0-0. Story

Extra Point
I once read that you can draw a line 35 miles long with the average pencil. Any takers out there to see if it's true?
