Yesterday's Daily Princetonian had a piece on new football coach Bob Surace taking over the Princeton program. The web version corrected an error that said Surace was the only current Ivy League coach to be coaching at his alma mater.
Thinking outside the tackle box, a column on the Lehigh Football Nation site pitches the idea that the Patriot League might want to consider approaching New Hampshire and Maine in the event that the Holy Cross, Colgate et al go scholarship. It's probably a pipe dream, but this from the column might get you thinking:
If Maine, UNH and Holy Cross all are Patriot League schools, Dartmouth's closest non-full-scholarship opponent would be Central Connecticut State (2 hours and 33 minutes from Hanover), and after Marist (3 1/2 hours away), things get really dicey.
