I don't have much for you today and unfortunately don't have time to go looking. It's wicked early (as they say in these parts) and I'm about to jump in my goofy little car, turn on the lights and drive to Philly for the Penn game. With it being a 3:30 kickoff I figured I could stick around Hanover for an extra day, get some writing done (I started the day with four deadlines and am down to one) and save one night's motel bill.
The forecast is calling for around 70 degrees and sunny at gametime, which is good for the visitors. Dartmouth teams have faded in the past when it was overly hot in Franklin Field. Although this Big Green team is deeper than those in the last 10 years or so, 70 is certainly better for everyone involved than the high 80s.
I'll have two stories for Green Alert Premium subscribers tonight, although no promises on how early.
I found a reasonable motel on the New Jersey side of the Delaware, about 40 minutes from Franklin Field. Barring overtime, I hope to be out of the press conference by 7:15 and sitting down to write by 8, although it could be a little later because I've gotten lost escaping Philly before. I'm afraid you folks on the East Coast might have to stay up a bit to read the second story ;-)
Catch you down the road. Way, way down the road!
