The thorough Chu Chu Rah Rah independent Holy Cross website has a "Reactions to the Brown Game" posting. It mentions that 10 different players caught passes in last week's win over Brown and includes this:
Dartmouth is much improved, but if the Crusaders play their game and keep steadily improving as they have in the past two weeks, Holy Cross should leave the beautiful state of New Hampshire victorious.

The Ivy League's weekly teleconference can be heard here.*
To listen to the weekly Holy Cross Football Show, click here and scroll down to the Oct. 12 edition. There's some good background on the Crusaders as well as a few thoughts from All-America defensive back Anthony DiMichele, who says the key for his defense is to stop Nick Schwieger and Conner Kempe and to keep Shawn Abuhoff under control in the return game. Coach Tom Gilmore mentions the same three players and says the heartbreaking losses against Penn and Yale can either, "demoralize or energize" the Big Green.*
Defensive back Kevin de Regt's latest posting on his The Deregtory blog is now up on the Daily Dartmouth site and is good for a few laughs.*
The Portal 31 Yale blog takes a look at some of the injuries the Bulldogs had coming out of the Dartmouth game and a Yale Daily News story talks about the Yale run game that tested the Big Green last week.*
The first Gridiron Power Index is out and if there's one ranking to pay attention to, this would be it. Think of the GPI as the BCS of the FCS ;-) OK, if that's a little confusing, how about this? The GPI takes more than 10 rankings and averages them into one. Here's how the Ivy League teams rank:
59. HarvardDartmouth Non-Conference Opponents:
63. Penn
66. Brown
72. Yale
78. Columbia
100. Dartmouth
109. Cornell
110. Princeton
86. Holy CrossAlso of interest:
114. Sacred Heart
122. Bucknell
(Valparaiso is last in the nation at 123.)
The ranking of the 15 FCS conferences is a little troubling with the upstart Northeast Conference ranked No. 8, the Ivy League No. 11 and the Patriot League No. 14. The Pioneer Football League is No. 15.26. New Hampshire
53. Colgate

Nice story in PilotOnline.com about NC State quarterback Russell Wilson. From the story:A product of The Collegiate School in Richmond, Wilson comes by his well-roundedness naturally. His father, the late Harrison B. Wilson III, played baseball and football at Dartmouth. After nearly making the San Diego Chargers as a free agent, he earned a law degree from the University of Virginia. He died after a long illness in June, the day after his son was selected in the Major League Baseball Draft.

And if you ever wonder about the difference between Ivy League student-athletes and those in some other conferences, consider this AP story under the headline Another Georgia football player is arrested:The arrests keep on coming for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Running back Caleb King became the school’s 11th football player to be arrested this year. He was picked up in Athens for failing to appear at a court date in nearby Walton County to address a speeding ticket, school spokesman Claude Felton said Monday.
