I haven't heard from the Vintage people so there will be no such windfall for me this year, but here's a little secret. I would have put a link up anyway because the calendars are very nice. They are large format and printed on heavy stock, with each page featuring the reproduction of a cover of an old football program. If you are so inclined, the pages are suitable for framing. You can see all the months here.
There are also calendars for Brown, Cornell, Harvard, Penn and Yale.
If you are like me and won't go anywhere near a mall at this time of year, one of these calendars might make a nice present for the Dartmouth fan of your choice next month.

The Princeton Packet has a story out of Dartmouth's win over Princeton last week. As you'd expect, it is centered on the Tigers' long season and what they need to do to avoid a repeat next fall, but it's worth checking out.*
Off to UConn-Cincinnati football at 0-dark-30 tomorrow. Good thing the game isn't today because I wouldn't dare take Vlad the Old Expo out of the driveway this morning. There's a quarter-inch of clear ice covering everything. I hit the ground on my first step into the driveway and even Cooper, the Sooper Golden Retriever, refused to put a paw on the driveway after getting a lay of the land (or ice). After getting back to my feet and carefully making my way down the grass on the edge of the driveway to get the newspaper, I tossed a stick for Coop to chase. It's pretty funny to watch him slide 20 feet past his target but this time he never budged and instead look at me like I was crazy. Smart dog that Cooper.
