That Certain Hanover High Student was thrilled yesterday when West Virginia beat Pitt. (As a Penn Stater who still harbors strong feelings toward the Panthers, I wasn't too unhappy with the result either ;-).
Anyway, as TCHHS explained to me, Pitt's loss put UConn in the driver's seat for a BCS bowl bid, making today's game against Cincinnati that much more exciting.
With kickoff at noon and a breakfast tailgate awaiting us, our time of departure was slated for 6 a.m. Three hours down, a little traffic getting into the lot and we should be setting up the tailgate by 9:30.
By the way, we were quite surprised when our tickets arrived Wednesday. We bought them from the best-known ticket service. It cost us $40 a seat. Add in "handling" and overnight delivery and the final bill was $200 give or take. I swallowed hard but it's a treat for us all to be together at a game, so we bought the tickets. When they got here I opened the overnight envelope, pulled out the tickets and called Mrs. BGA over to check them out. Face value: $10. Yikes.
