Abuhoff, Early Decision

Here's the official Dartmouth release on Shawn Abuhoff being named first-team returner on the 2010 Sports Network/Fathead.com Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-America team. Despite being a defensive player, Abuhoff tied for second among Dartmouth players this fall with four touchdowns (punt returns of 41, 76 and 82 yards and a 56-yard interception return.) From the release:
Among the FCS active career leaders, Abuhoff is listed in the top 15 in each of the six statistical categories for punt returns. He is tied for first in touchdowns (3), third in average per return (11.91), sixth in yards (548), eighth in yards per game (18.3), and 14th in both returns (46) and returns per game (1.5).
Phil Steele football has Abuhoff as the third-team returner.

Dartmouth's incoming freshman class includes Cameron Crage, a 6-foot-3, 200 quarterback from St. Andrews School in Boca Raton, Fla. He threw for 1,244 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions last year. Find his video highlights here.

Can't find any video, but the EDC class features running back Ben Ticknor and quarterback Charlie Storey, a pair of teammates from Milton Academy in Massachusetts. The 6-2, 205 Ticknor had one game last fall where he carried 21 times for 341 yards, including touchdowns of 96, 46, 46 and 5 yards. Storey had a game where he was 8-for-11 passing and gained 193 yards on the ground with TD runs of 81, 41 and 20 yards.

Former Middlebury kicker Steve Hauschka, who impressed several years ago when he came to Memorial Field to scrimmage the Dartmouth jayvees, is back in the NFL with the Denver Broncos. (link) Hauschka, who converted from soccer to football at Midd, went on to kick one season as a graduate student at North Carolina State.
