FB Players Set for Televised Rugby 7's

Dartmouth will be competing in the 2011 USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championships this weekend in Philadelphia and there will be a football flavor to the Big Green team. From a Dartmouth Rugby release earlier this week:
For the moment though, the team is focused on integrating several players who have joined the team from other sports. Among them are former football players T.J. Cameron ’11 and Steve Morris ’11 and former track runner (and former football player) Muhammed Adbul-Shakoor ’10. Along with (captain Paul) Jarvis, spring 15's players Nate Brakeley ’12, Kevin Clark ’14, Chris Downer ’11, Nick Downer ’11, Clark Judge ’12, Will Lehmann ’12, Will Mueller ’12, and Tanner Scott ‘11 will join them on the squad.
Dartmouth will play Utah at 11:04, Notre Dame at 1:16 and Boston College at 6:30 in a game to be carried live on the Versus network.

Speaking of rugby, the Salem (Mass.) News has a story about former jayvee football player Charlie Grant, who has been an All-Ivy League first team player at Dartmouth and this year added All-America honors to his resume.

Curious how Dartmouth and the other Ivies are viewed from afar? Make that from really afar. Check out what the Hindustan Times has to say about them.
