During a dry run of the Green Alert podcast last week one of the points brought up in a look around the Ivy League was that the receiving corps might be a question area for two-time defending champion Penn this fall. The Quakers have taken a step toward addressing any concerns there with the addition of a transfer receiver from Texas Tech. The Daily Pennsylvanian blog has a story.*

The 25th anniversary Patriot League football team has been named. Two of the more prominent honorees who Dartmouth remembers only too well: Colgate quarterback Ryan Vena and Holy Cross back Gordie Lockbaum. The PL has a story about what they are doing now and another page with the honorees' reactions.*
Regarding yesterday's photos of the lights being installed at Memorial Field, not to worry about sightlines. There won't be any poles blocking your view of the action.
