2011 Dartmouth jayvee schedule
  • Sept. 18 vs. Middlebury, 1 p.m.
  • Oct. 9 vs. Williams, 1 p.m.
  • Oct. 28 at Harvard, TBA
  • Nov. 6 vs. Bridgton Academy, noon
Green Alert Take: In the days of freshman football the Big Green used to play what was largely an Ivy League schedule. Too bad it's not the same on the jayvee level because contests against DIII teams and prep schools aren't nearly as much fun. Last year Dartmouth beat Midd and Williams by a combined 52-7. The Middlebury game is usually more competitive because it is against the varsity, but the Williams game last year was against the Ephs jayvees and the 24-7 final didn't come close to reflecting the difference in the teams. While budget issues might make games against Cornell and Princeton a problem, the guess here is that both players and fans would probably much prefer games against day-trip opponents Brown and Yale.
