Ivy Media Day Update 3

Phil Estes, Brown ... continuous updates coming

Up and down league every team has returning QB. Don't think happened in his 18 years at Brown.

Kyle Newhall-Caballero a tremendous leader. Never happened that a guy was a 2 year captain. Took spring off voted unanimously as captain.

Great targets. Alex Tounkara. Also Matt Sudfeld back after missing last year. "Slew" of receivers.

Soph RB John Spooney won 100 meters last year. Tremendous speed outside.

PK Norocea a weapon.

Def. strength will be line. Cruz one of great corners in league. Mel Farr at other corner. Steve Peyton QB of defense at safety.

Night games "are way to go." Brings guys back to HS feeling.

MORE
Need more consistency this year. Can't win 2, lose 2, win 2 etc.

Injuries a big factor last year. If you try to keep people healthy you get more hurt. Last year trying to keep KNC healthy got hurt in a walkthrough. Have to continue to practice hard or you get hurt.

All coaches would favor national playoffs. We know how important Ivy League trophy is but would love to have the opportunity to go on.

Picking All-Ivy QB a tossup. More parity than before but have to start with Penn. Every year look at Harvard. Yale a physical team with a lot of talent. How can you count Dartmouth out with nine starters and POY. Even Cornell, got better each game. Same with Columbia. If Brackett plays 1st half vs. Brown maybe a different game. Lots of good players in league.

Could turn poll upside down and wouldn't be surprised if that's how it ended up this year.

KNH a great leader. Really studies game. Just has to take rust off and get timing down. Won't miss a beat. Go back to jr year and first start vs. SB. Made plays with feet. Broken plays. That's what he's all about. On sidelines last year coaching teammates up. Could see from sideline. Been in town all summer. Just a matter of getting him into camp and matching him up with receivers speedwise.

Brown offense will be able to take off right away with KNC. Never happened before that a kid missed the spring and was named captain. Guys will rally around him and not miss a beat. We have one guy that played least in last year but was all-ivy as a jr.
