As reported yesterday on BGA premium, Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens had planned to shift today's first day of full-contact practice from the afternoon to this morning until Athletic Director Harry Sheehy chose to shut down all athletic programs at the college. It wouldn't be very pleasant out there right now, that's for sure.
The original plan had been for double-sessions to begin tomorrow, but the tentative plan right now is to go single-session tomorrow and push the doubles back one day. Because doubles can't be held on consecutive days that would change the entire schedule. Check back for an updated practice schedule when everything is settled.

Had a nice chat yesterday with Robbie Anthony, the transfer wide receiver from Clemson. (You can find the story on Green Alert premium.) It turns out he was studying architecture at Clemson and when he realized it eally wasn't necessary to have an undergrad degree in the subject to study it in grad school and have a career as an architect, he decided to pursue a transfer. He's hoping to design commercial buildings and perhaps stadiums and arenas one day. ... BGA premium had a lengthy story with Shawn Abuhoff on Friday in which he discussed his summer working for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a talk with quarterback Conner Kempe, who shared his thoughts about his senior season, on Thursday.

With practice called off, check BGA premium later today for an "audible" that you might find interesting. Change that. You will find it interesting, and that's an order ;-)

Some alumni news has trickled in the past couple of days. Former defensive back Peter Pidermann '10 and former linebacker Carter Scott '10 have started law school at Florida State. Pidermann, of course, spent last year playing professionally in Germany. Scott, the first freshman in his class to see significant action, hurt his knee against New Hampshire in just the second game of his college career and was never able to fully recover. ... Kickoff specialist Don Kephart '11, spent another summer volunteering at the Double H ranch in Lake Luzerne, N.Y., a camp for childen with life-threatening illnesses. He's working on med school applications and hoping to stay in the area to work in an Albany-area hospital before resuming his studies. ... Former quarterback Alex Jenny '10 bicycled 192 miles over two days in the PanMass Challenge, the biggest cancer fundraiser in the country each year. ... Keep that alumni news coming!
