Saturday Roundup

A (delayed) look around the Ivy League and at Dartmouth opponents with a few pithy comments . . .

Brown 6, Penn 0
Two Alex Norocea field goals and the Bears' second home shutout in a row combine to halt Penn's 18-game Ivy League winning streak and keep the Bears alive in the Ivy League race.

Yale 16, Columbia 13
With leading rusher Alex Thomas out, Mordecai Cargill runs for 230 yards and two touchdowns as Yale holds on against Columbia, which rallies from 16-0 down in the fourth quarter and has the ball with a chance to tie or win it at the end.

Cornell 24, Princeton 7
Of all the quarterbacks playing in the snow Saturday none could match Cornell's Jeff Mathews, who somehow completes 19-of-28 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown without an interception. Princeton's freshman standout Chuck Dibilio runs for 158 yards on 32 carries.

Lehigh 45, Colgate 25
The Mountainhaws put almost 500 yards up on Colgate, which falls to an uncharacteristic 4-5 overall and a stunning 0-3 in the Patriot League.

Georgetown 19, Holy Cross 6
It's now official. The Hoyas (7-2, 3-1 Patriot) are for real. The turnover-prone Crusaders gave the ball away five times.

Sacred Heart 27, Robert Morris 15
The Pioneers got four sack, 14 tackles for loss, two interceptions and a fumble recovery to win on the road.
