All-America Honors

10:45 Update: Dartmouth press release on Schweiger being named third-team All-American.

Has panic set in with the holidays approaching? Maybe this will help! Professional photographer Mark Washburn is offering for sale this dramatic picture from the first-ever night game at Memorial Field.

Mark is also offering for sale team photos from Dartmouth baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's soccer, men's and women's swimming, volleyball and men's and women's squash.

Suitable for framing, the pictures are printed on glossy, archival photo paper. They are also available on mugs, shirts and tote bags. The football team picture (it's over there on the left) can be printed on greeting cards, refrigerator magnets, key tags and 2012 calendars. The Sports Network has named Dartmouth's Shawn Abuhoff the All-America second-team FCS punt returner. The only other Ivy player honored by TSN was Columbia offensive lineman Jeff Adams, a third-team selection. Editor's Note: Someone pointed out that this looks like the preseason team and that's what it was. You know, it looked a little questionable to me as well but I didn't dig far enough. Thanks for the help.

The Associated Press has tapped Dartmouth tailback Nick Schweiger for its All-America third team. He's joined by Columbia's Adams, Cornell receiver Shane Savage and Harvard defensive lineman Josue Ortiz.

Curious what is happening at Yale in the aftermath of Coach Tom Williams' comments about his Rhodes Scholarship candidacy? The answer, apparently, is not much. Check out this brief back-and-forth between New Haven Register writer Jim Fuller and his readers.
