The Dartmouth spring sports season opened on a high note yesterday with the men's lacrosse team knocking off Colgate, 9-6, and the women's lacrosse team downing New Hampshire, 13-7. But it was a totally forgettable day for the winter "revenue" sports. Women's basketball was crushed by Princeton (94-57), men's basketball was punished by the Tigers (85-61), women's ice hockey saw its season end as St. Lawrence completed a playoff sweep at Thompson Arena (2-0) and men's ice hockey lost a chance to host in the playoffs with a 3-1 loss to St. Lawrence.
