Paul Ferraro, a defensive assistant on Buddy Teevens' first Dartmouth team in 1987, has rejoined the staff at the University of Maine after spending the past three seasons as linebackers coach for the St. Louis Rams. Maine press release

The Sports Network has an update on Princeton running back Chuck Dibilio, who suffered a stroke in January. From the story:
He finished fifth in the national voting for the inaugural Jerry Rice Award, given to the outstanding freshman player in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Whether Dibilio will resume his career is unknown, but that's not primary in his recovery, even though it fills his thoughts.

Sacred Heart has a release announcing its 2012 schedule and noting that the Pioneers are 2-1 all-time against Ivy League teams after sweeping Dartmouth and Columbia last fall.

Dartmouth baseball enjoyed its earliest home game ever yesterday by stretching its NCAA-best home winning streak to 25 with a 5-2 win over Amherst. Despite using six pitchers the Big Green held the Lord Jeffs hitless through five innings.

Something that surprised me and may surprise you: Amherst and Holy Cross are tied with the most games against Dartmouth of any nonconference opponent at 143. For the record, the Big Green is 78-64-1 against Amherst. Dartmouth will kick off its bid for a fifth Red Rolfe Division title in a row with doubleheaders Saturday at Princeton and Sunday at Cornell. The Green will be trying for its third Ivy League title in four years.
