Hoyas Tip Tigers

Watched Georgetown kick a 33-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining to knock off Princeton last night, 21-20. (link) It was an exciting, if sloppily played, game. Too bad the ESPNU cameras couldn't show off Princeton Stadium but the TV folks don't like to show empty seats and there were a lot of them in New Jersey last night. Attendance was 6,792.

Looks as if Princeton has a breakout star in 5-foot-8, 205-pound freshman running back DiAndre Atwater. The son of former NFL great Steve Atwater carried 15 times for 92 yards and had a long gainer called back. His older brother, Steve, played for Georgetown. Read about the brothers here.
The Bleacher Report correspondent covering Ivy League football had a look at matchups around the Ancient Eight here.
