How Dartmouth Opponents Fared Saturday

A look at how opponents fared yesterday . . .

Princeton 39, Brown 17
Story and stats
In a game that calls to mind last year's win over Harvard when Princeton trailed 20-0 at the half and roared back to win, the Tigers fell behind 17-0 in the second quarter and then reeled off the next 39 points. Princeton had a 30-13 advantage in first downs, piled up 566 yards of offense and got three rushing touchdowns from quarterback Quinn Epperly.

Penn 21, Columbia 7
Story and stats
Columbia managed just four first downs and 118 yards of offense but somehow was within a touchdown into the fourth quarter. The Lions were 0-for-13 on third-down conversions and rushed for just 33 yards.

Fordham 52, Yale 31
Story and stats
A week after struggling to move the ball against Dartmouth, the Bulldogs had plenty of offense but struggled on defense in falling to the undefeated Rams. Candler Rich carried 11 times for 159 yards for the Bulldogs, who ran for 359 yards but surrendered 614 yards of offense to Fordham.

Harvard 35, Lafayette 16
Story and stats
With a single touchdown in each of the first three quarters, the Crimson methodically built a 28-3 lead in the fourth before the Leopards made it respectable with help from a TD with 52 seconds remaining.

Colgate 28, Holy Cross 24
Story and stats
His team trailing by 10 points in the fourth quarter, Gavin McCarney drove the Raiders for two touchdowns, the last coming on a 31-yard toss with 59 seconds remaining on a drive that was triggered by a Colgate interception in the endzone.

Butler 24, Drake 14
Story and stats
Backup quarterback Wade Markley passed for 253 yards and ran for a touchdown to give the Bulldogs breathing room in the fourth quarter as Butler stayed alone atop the Pioneer Football League standings.
