A look at how Dartmouth opponents fared on Saturday . . .
Brown 27, Penn 0
Story and stats
Sprint champion John Spooney had TD runs of 93 and 94 yards in the first half for Brown. That the Bears' talented offense scored that many points isn't a surprise. That they shut out Penn – even with quarterback Billy Ragone not playing – is a shocker.
Princeton 53, Cornell 20
Story and stats
You knew the top quarterback in the league was playing in this game, but you might not have known it was Princeton's Quinn Epperly. The Tiger standout completed his first 29 passes – an NCAA Division I record – and went on to finish 32-of-35 for 325 yards with three touchdown passes and three touchdown runs. Cornell's Jeff Mathews was 24-of-40 for 230 yards with one TD and two interceptions.
Yale 53, Columbia 12
Story and stats
Columbia switched quarterbacks again and managed 18 first downs but was no match for the Bulldogs, who piled up 569 yards of offense as well as the points. Kahlil Keys had a 94-yard run for a touchdown for the Bulldogs as Columbia gave up 50-plus points for the fourth time in seven games.
Bucknell 28, Colgate 7
Story and stats
Freshman CJ Williams ran for 115 yards as Bucknell stretched a winning streak that started at Dartmouth to three.
Fordham 32, Holy Cross 30
Story and stats
The Crusaders vaulted out to a 23-7 lead in the second quarter only to see No. 9 Fordham roar back. Freshman Peter Pujals tossed three touchdowns and ran for 88 yards for the Crusaders, who gave up 700 yards of offense.
Butler 33, Dayton 30
Story and stats
The Bulldogs got two TD throws and two TD runs from Matt Lancaster to rally from a 27-6 deficit. They won it on a 33-yard field goal with 3:29 left.
