Another Honor For Runger

Dartmouth linebacker Michael Runger has been selected to the Capital One Academic All-America second team for his work on the field and in the classroom. A first-team All-Ivy League selection for the second year in a row, Runger was third in the Ivies in tackles with 85 this fall. He is an economics major with a 3.77 GPA. Brown defensive lineman Michael Yules is on the Academic All-America first team and Runger is joined on the second team by Cornell receiver Grant Gellatly. Find the Ivy League release here.
Princeton defensive lineman Caraun Reid has been invited to play in the Senior Bowl Jan. 25 in Mobile, Ala. Link
Harvard defensive back D.J. Monroe will play in the College All-Star Bowl at Furman University on Feb. 14. The game will be shown on the CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m. Link
Add Wake Forest to the list of schools that has begun courting Ball State head coach Pete Lembo, as reported in the Muncie Star Press story. According to the story, the former Dartmouth assistant earned $396,000 last year while the outgoing Wake Forest coach earned $2.252 million. Lembo is 25-12 in three years at Ball State. He also is rumored to be on the UConn list.

Among others under consideration for the Wake job according to several reports is Bowling Green coach Dave Clawson, a former Williams College defensive back who previously served as head coach at Fordham and Richmond.
