Lehigh offensive coordinator Dave Cecchini may be the next head coach at Valparaiso of the Pioneer Football League. LINK Cecchini is a former Harvard assistant whose brother, JT Cecchini '98, was a Dartmouth receiver.
Cecchini was named the Mike Campbell Top Assistant Coach in the nation in 2005 while coaching quarterbacks and receivers at Harvard. Each time an Ivy League opening came up in the last few years Cecchini seemed to get a mention.
If he is indeed headed to Valparaiso the Bloomington, Minn., product will have his hands full. Valpo is 4-51 over the last five years.

There was probably a time when Ivy League schools might have made a run at Williams grad Dave Clawson, who spent three years on the Lehigh staff as well. But Clawson, who guided Bowling Green to the MAC championship this fall, is headed to Wake Forest according to Sports Illustrated.Clawson previously turned around programs at Fordham and Richmond.

Dartmouth is one of two schools who have "offered" a 6-foot-4, 218-pound quarterback from Menlo School and Atherton, Calif., according to a Prep2Prep story. Rivals also lists Dartmouth as offering Jack Heneghan.
