Well, Hello

Add another to the Dartmouth recruiting list. According to the Gwinnett Daily Post 6-foot-5, 220-pound tight end Cam Poole of Georgia powerhouse Buford High School is headed to Hanover. Poole is one of five Buford players to commit to college programs in the past several weeks with others headed to Buffalo, Davidson, West Georgia and Wofford. Buford also has players continuing on to  Princeton (outside linebacker Deion King), Clemson and Missouri.

Find a picture of Poole on his Hudl page.

Buford finished 15-0 last fall to win its second AAA state championship in a row and ninth since 2000. With 10 state titles overall it is the fourth school in Georgia history to reach hit the double-figure mark in championships.
The eagle eyes of a BGA reader from afar spotted something interesting regarding former Dartmouth offensive coordinator John Perry. From the Coaching Search website:
Keep an eye on Delaware quarterbacks / passing game coordinator John Perry.  A source tells CoachingSearch that Bill O'Brien has talked with Perry about a position on the Texans' staff.
Not a surprise when you think about it. Perry and O'Brien were friends as boys growing up in Andover, Mass., and were on the same staff at Brown.
The Daily Princetonian has a lengthy story about the school's retiring athletic director under the headline, How Gary Walters Won. The story details Walters' targeted response to former Princeton President Bill Bowen's book, The Game of Life.

Bowen's response to Walters' criticism, as reported in the story:
“I wouldn’t judge Walters — it’s not worth it,. The defensiveness of some people in the athletic establishment is understandable, but I think it’s really rather sad and pathetic.”
Ouch.
