Highlights from both teams in Dartmouth's 35-25 win over Central Connecticut State . . .

First-time visitors to UNH's Cowell Stadium will be surprised that the school has been able to enjoy the football success it has enjoyed with such an antiquated facility. If and when Dartmouth returns to Durham, things will be different. Check out this GALLERY of drawings of the new UNH stadium. Groundbreaking is set for this spring with the stadium slated to be finished in June of 2016.
Teams of interest in the FCS Coaches Poll:
7. New Hampshire
32. Harvard
The Massey Ratings service has UNH beating Dartmouth Saturday with an 85 percent chance of certainty. The predicted score: 33-17. Interestingly, Yale's big win over Lehigh has pushed the Bulldogs into the tiniest of favorites over Dartmouth, 51 percent to 49. With that, Massey sees Dartmouth finishing 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the Ivy League. (LINK)
From The Sports Network (LINK):
Coastal Carolina's football program lost enough key players from the best team in program history that there could have been cause for concern entering the 2014 season.
But all the Chanticleers keep doing in the first month of the season is climb higher than ever in The Sports Network FCS Top 25.
Coastal - off to a 4-0 start - reached No. 3 on Monday for its highest ranking ever
Coastal, of course, is famously coached by Joe Moglia, whose last coaching job before becoming the CEO of TD Ameritrade was at Dartmouth. After not getting much more than a sniff from several Ivy League programs when openings came up he's posted a 24-8 record at Coastal. Wonder if anyone is second-guessing themselves . . .
