Seven Down, Three To Go

This week's Sagarin Ratings:

Here are the Sagarin Ratings for this week. The sequence of three numbers is preseason, last week, and this week in bold.
Ivy League
Harvard 149, 93, 88
Dartmouth 174, 153, 158
Yale 194, 154, 161
Princeton 137, 170, 173
Brown  195, 202, 191
Penn 184, 210, 219
Cornell 219, 230, 231
Columbia 241, 245, 247
Nonconference Opponents
New Hampshire 84, 76, 73
Holy Cross 213, 204, 198
Central Connecticut 225, 226, 227
Green Alert Take: A couple of thoughts looking at what happened with the numbers. First, it's better to lose to a good team than beat a bad team. Dartmouth dropped five spots after falling to Harvard while Yale dropped seven spots with a win over Columbia. Second, it might be best not to play at all. Holy Cross improved six places while taking the week off. Harvard improved just five places by beating a 5-1 Dartmouth team.
The local daily's game story for Saturday was picked up by another paper which is not behind a pay wall so you should be able to access it HERE.
Harvard Magazine covered the game HERE. From the story:
Dartmouth’s stadium—the league’s smallest, seating only 13,000—seemed to hold perhaps 2,000 fans, either New England’s hardiest or foolhardiest. (The announced attendance was close to 6,000, possibly based on ticket sales.)
BGA Take: Agreed the fans were either hardy or foolhardy, but the attendance was closer to 6,000 than it was to 2,000.
