Coming This Way

With the early decision process completed new names will start popping up on recruiting sites and in social media. Leading the way for Dartmouth is Vito Penza, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound "athlete" who left a full FBS scholarship from a MAC school and an invitation to walk on at Ohio State on the table in favor of joining the Big Green. He posted his decision here.

Check out this photo with Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens.

Penza, offered by Eastern Michigan as an "H-back," is from Youngstown, Ohio, and Ursuline High School, where he played quarterback and linebacker, and even returned kicks. There is a story about his recruitment by EMU here and some of his quarterback highlights can be seen here. To read about his opportunity at Ohio State click here.

After running for 176 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Massillon he gave some insight into his game, saying (link):
"My legs are probably better than my arms. I think all of our coaches can agree with that."

Team BGA is on the road this morning heading to a quick Christmas celebration with Mrs. BGA's side of the family in Massachusetts. Then we are up early tomorrow to zip down to New York City to catch Penn State against Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl before heading north at the end of a long, long day.
