Tight End Heading To Hanover

Another day, another name to add to the Dartmouth recruit list. Kevin Barrett, a 6-foot-5, 217-pound tight end from Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine, is headed to Hanover according to various Tweets, including one on the Thornton' football Twitter account.

Barrett caught 26 passes for 547 yards and seven touchdowns last fall and helped pave the way for his team to average 315 rushing yards a game according to the Portland Press Herald, which named him to the Maine all-state team. (LINK) Find a photo of the new recruit in the Bangor Daily News (LINK).
The Dartmouth (LINK) is reporting that 64 students were charged with honor code violations as a result of last fall's "clickergate." According to several sources in the story, "most students involved were suspended from the College for one term."

From the story:
In a statement, the athletic department said that it “fully supports the strong stance against academic dishonesty Dartmouth has always taken and the respect it has shown for fair hearings.”
The statement goes on to point out that some student athletes who admitted involvement to their coaches have already faced sanctions from the athletic department.
Former Dartmouth assistant Calvin Thibodeaux gets a mention in the official announcement of new head coach David Beaty's staff at Kansas. From a release (LINK):
Thibodeaux joins the Kansas staff tasked with coaching the same position he held for the previous three seasons at the University of Tulsa. While at TU, Thibodeaux helped guide the team to an 11-win season and a Liberty Bowl victory in 2012. Prior to his time with the Golden Hurricane, Thibodeaux coached in the same capacity at Dartmouth College where the Big Green posted their first winning season in Ivy League play in seven seasons.
"Calvin is a tireless recruiter and a well-respected member of the defensive line coaching community," Beaty said. "His players exhibit responsibility, toughness and passion and we are looking forward to him bringing those elements to KU. His ability as a coach is only surpassed by his upstanding character and integrity as a man."
