Building A Program And A Stadium

Bottomed out at 20.2 below zero up here on the mountain this morning. Fortunately there's no wind so it wasn't unpleasant taking Griff the Wonder Pup out.
Following the recruiting wars via Twitter can be informative but it's also tricky. When BGA reported (LINK) earlier that Ohioan Vito Penza had chosen Dartmouth he was referred to as an "athlete" because that's how published reports referred to him. Was the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Penza being recruited as a linebacker, a quarterback or tight end?

Now on his Twitter account he refers to himself as, "DI Dartmouth QB Commit." So Twitter giveth.

Then Twitter taketh away. Not Penza, but certainty about his destination.

From another Tweet: "#AirForce has offered 2015 #Dartmouth commit Vito Penza of Youngstown Ursuline."

Oops. But then Twitter giveth again.

Penza responded to that Tweet with this: "Still committed to Dartmouth #GoGreen."

And this: "Excited for my trip to Hanover next weekend ✈️ #TheWoods."
The Dartmouth has a story (LINK) on Dartmouth quarterback Dalyn Williams finishing runner-up to Yale tailback Tyler Varga in the balloting for Ivy League offensive player of the year. Williams told the school paper:
“I plan on winning it next year by playing in a fury with a chip on my shoulder. I think I’m going to repay all the coaches that didn’t vote for me.”
