Dartmouth football coach Buddy Teevens joined pro football Hall of Fame offensive tackle Anthony Munoz, Dr. Chris Giza '86 of the NCAA Concussion Task Force, and Rocky Seto, the Seattle Seahawks defensive passing game coordinator, at last week's clinic on proper tackling and practice
routines in Southern California. The Practice Like Pros Clinic was presented by Safe Kids Worldwide and was endorsed by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).
Teevens was an early adapter of non-tackling practices at Dartmouth, which has not tackled at all in practice for several years. The Practice Like Pros Clinics were held in Los Angeles and San Diego as well as Santa Clara and Davis. Learn more HERE.

Crazy day yesterday, huh? Hopefully there will be a few more Signing Day photos posted before the day is through. If you've I missed 'em and you've got 'em CLICK HERE and it will address an email to me with the subject SigningDay. Then just include the link or photo. Thanks!

Here's the list of incoming players I have compiled so far, with the addition of two recruits I hadn't yet stumbled across as well as another I was waiting for public confirmation on. Corrections are encouraged!A reminder that bold-faced names are confirmed early decision with height, weight and position provided by the football office. The list of italicized players is drawn from media and Internet reports, with best-guess positions. The regular decision names, positions, etc., cannot be confirmed until near the end of spring practice after official acceptances go out, all the paperwork is returned and the football office is finally allowed to comment on the regular decision recruits.
Why can most Division I schools post lists and videos and interviews with their coaches from Signing Day? Because they use the Letter of Intent. (Learn about the LOI, Ivy League recruiting bands and more on the Athletic Hook college counseling site blog HERE.)
This list includes 27 names. There may be three more I haven't uncovered, who haven't yet been "offered," or who have decided to stay under the radar. Actually, there could be several more than that depending on how many Dartmouth can bring in to satisfy the "120 over three years" Ivy League recruiting rule. Time will tell.

Curious how much interest there is in recruiting, even at this level? Here are the BGA "hits" over the last 30 days:
By the way, if you check the "low" days you'll see they come on weekends. You guys are sneaking a peak while the boss isn't looking, aren't you? ;-)

Columbia University alum and football blogger Jake Novak offers up some "Tips for the new athletics director," in the Columbia Spectator. (LINK)Columbia named Peter Pilling as AD earlier this week and now is trying to identify a replacement for Pete Mangurian as head football coach. The Lions have dropped their last 21 games. They haven't won since beating Cornell on Nov. 10, 2012.
