Just when I thought I was free to get up from the keyboard, another one comes in. But this is another big one. Literally. It's Jackson Perry, the 6-2, 275 offensive lineman from national champion Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas who originally committed to Vanderbilt has confirmed his decision to come to Dartmouth. Between Perry and Rudinski Dartmouth has added a pair of Rivals three-star defensive players who chose the Ivy League after originally deciding to go the scholarship route to Power 5 schools.
Pretty good day.

Here we go again. Rashaad "Shady" Cooper, a 5-10, 191 running back from Tracy, Calif., and Kimball HS should be the night's final "get" for BGA. Whew. Long day.Rashaad Cooper |

It's feeling a little like election night with late returns coming in from California. While I was watching Penn State-Maryland basketball a friend turned up another player who has flown under the BGA radar. He's Jonathan "JJ" Jefferies, a 6-3, 232 tight end/linebacker from Edison HS in Fresno.Jonathan Jefferies |

Gilroy, Calif. linebacker Jacob Moen, a 6-4, 220 product of Gilroy HS who posted 613 tackles in his career, makes it official but there's still another one expected tonight . . . and perhaps a few more tomorrow.Jacob Moen |

According to Twitter there should be one more tonight that we already know about. Stay tuned. Me? I'm going to try to catch my breath ;-)

Scott Lloyd, the 6-3, 210 quarterback from Fullerton, Calif. who almost ended up at Dartmouth a year ago before prepping at Berkshire School is all smiles today.

OK, here's the one a friend's daughter from California told him about, and he told me about, and I've been teasing you about. Sorry I couldn't give you more but that wouldn't have been fair to the kid. Special apologies to someone who grew up out there and follows this stuff closely and I never said a word.I was checking the Washington State recruiting board all day because that's where Oaks Christian, Calif. linebacker Eddie Rudinski had given a verbal commitment in December. He never showed up and now KEYT TV in Ventura County, the LA Daily News and Scout say the 6-foot-2, 220 Rudinski is headed Dartmouth way. Depending on which recruiting service you believe, he had offers from San Diego State, Washington, Washington State, Hawaii, Colorado, Idaho and more.
Interestingly, not one of the sites mentioned Dartmouth.
Because this is the first mention of Rudinski on BGA, here's a look at his senior highlight video. It brings to mind Dartmouth all-time great Murry Bowden's favorite saying: "Accelerate through impact."
