Take The Time And Watch This

It has been a while since I've seen Wearers of the Green, narrated by former Dartmouth Athletic Director Seaver Peters. It is a beautifully done film that, if you watch it through, will help you appreciate what they sometimes call the Dartmouth Experience.

The Dartmouth softball team challenged Florida State for much of yesterday's NCAA Tournament game and was knocking on the door until a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth sent the Seminoles on to a 5-1 win. The Big Green plays South Carolina at noon today in an elimination game. (LINK)
The Orlando Sentinel writes about Skyler Mornhinweg, the Florida Gator quarterback transferring to Columbia. Mornhinweg started the Gators' final three games two years ago, completing 69.8 percent of his passes for 344 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He was 20-0f-25 against Florida State, albeit for just 115 yards. (LINK)

Find Mornhinweg's Florida bio HERE before it disappears.
A young man was accepted at all eight Ivies and is going to . . . wait for it . . . Alabama. (LINK)
And finally, That Certain '14 has been home for a few days before heading out to Yellowstone National Park for her new job. Those who have visited this space know she was the only member of her Hanover High class to earn the maximum 12 varsity letters (in softball, field hockey, cross country and indoor track ) and was chosen the co-athlete of the year as a Hanover High senior before running for two years at Dartmouth. But it still blew me away that after averaging at most one round of golf a year since graduating high school she went out yesterday and in her first round of the year carded a legit 90 at Hanover Country Club. Good thing I was writing because if I'd been playing she'd have been in my wallet ;-)
