Penn Wrap

Highlights from the Dartmouth win at Penn:

From a Daily Pennsylvanian sidebar:
(W)hile it would be easy to question the Quakers after this loss to Dartmouth, Saturday’s performance was more about Dartmouth winning than Penn’s performance.
The DP game story is HERE and Philly .com has a story HERE.
The Dartmouth has a game story HERE.
Something of interest: Penn's leading tackler coming into Saturday's game was linebacker Colton Moskal, a transfer from Syracuse. He considered only three schools when he decided to leave the 'Cuse and one of them was . . . Dartmouth. Philly .com has a story.

Ironically, Moskal did not play against the Big Green because of an injury.
Yale, this week's Dartmouth opponent, set up a battle of the unbeatens with a 27-12 win over Lehigh. Yale piled up more than 500 yards of total offense although, the Yale Daily News writes . . .
The Bulldogs played the entire game without several Week 1 starters, as running back Candler Rich ’17 and wide receivers Bo Hines ’18 and Robert Clemons III ’17 were sidelined with injuries. Additionally, defensive back Foye Oluokun ’17, who played in a soft cast, left the field with an apparent injury early in the first quarter and did not re-enter the game.
Harvard's 45-0 whomping of Georgetown brought this comment from Hoyas' head coach Rob Sgarlata, as reported in the Crimson game story:
“It might be one of the best football teams I’ve seen since I started coaching at this level. They’re well-coached, ran the ball very well, and executed the entire time.”
The Valley News has a very nice story about strong-armed Dartmouth quarterback Thomas Militello, a senior who had the look of a potential starter when he arrived in Hanover but who has taken a different path than most college football players. Impressive kid.
Here are the Sagarin Ratings for this week. The sequence of three numbers is preseason, consecutive weeks, and this week in bold.
