Top Trick Plays of the Year:

Hard to believe the Oberlin play isn't No. 1 on list of top trick plays from last fall. There's nothing special about the LSU fake and the St. Thomas play, which is bizarre, was simply messing around.
Former Dartmouth assistant Don Brown has been chosen the FootballScoop Defensive Coordinator of the Year. This is what the Scoop wrote of Brown, who came to Dartmouth from Hartford (Vt.) High School and moved on to Michigan to join Jim Harbaugh's staff earlier this month:
“Don is real. He is a tough, New England guy and he has come up the hard way like we all have – the small college route through New England,” BC head coach Steve Addazio said of Brown earlier this fall. “You have to love him because that’s who he is. He loves defense; attack-blitzing defense. He can really build a great attitude, a toughness, and he’s done that to our defense.”
Thanks to a loyal and sharp-eyed reader for sharing a link about another former Dartmouth assistant coach. What do Princeton women's basketball coach (and onetime Big Green standout) Courtney Banghart, Nick Saban, Urban Meyer and Bill Belichick have in common? They were responsible for four of the top 15 coaching jobs the last year according to THIS COLUMN.
