Lots To Smile About

Stumbled across this on Twitter in the never-ending search for interesting stuff to post and thought you'd appreciate it. Sorry it's not clearer but it's a screen shot of a screen shot, but you get the idea ;-)

Jeff Hawkins, a teammate of Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens and Harvard coach Tim Murphy back in their high school days at Silver Lake Regional in Massachusetts, is the subject of a story out of Pembroke, Mass. (LINK)

"Hawk," a popular figure in Hanover during Teevens' first stint, followed his old teammate to Tulane. Now, the story reminds us, he is "in his second decade working with the University of Oregon football program, where he oversees all administrative aspects for the Ducks nationally-ranked football team."
Former Dartmouth football player and current General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt studied math at Dartmouth and got his MBA at Harvard. Speaking at Business Insider's IGNITION 2015 conference last week he had this to say:
"I use my math major every day — I don't use the MBA quite as much."
Advantage: Dartmouth. Find the story HERE.

The view over Hanover and into Vermont from the shoulder of Moose Mountain this morning before the rain stopped and the sun came out:
