Headed to Logan Airport early this morning so That Certain Dartmouth '14, who had been home for an extended Thanksgiving visit, can catch a flight to Denver.
After working as a ranger at Yellowstone last summer she had expected to spend the winter teaching skiing at a Colorado resort before returning to Yellowstone in the spring. But things in the National Park Service can be fluid and she found out while she was home that she had landed a winter position at the Everglades. She will spend upwards of six months as a ranger-educator in South Florida.
She's flying out to Denver to get her car and then will head to the Everglades. It's not the most direct route ;-) but a pretty good way to spend the winter before likely returning to Yellowstone.
