Listen Up

Two things about this video.

First, there are coaches around the country who are mic'd up in these videos you don't really get anything out of it. Or they put something on because they are wired up. That's not the case with Dartmouth head coach Buddy Teevens. What you see (and hear) is what you get.

Second, new video coordinator Alex Dodds is proving he's a quick learner. Instead of putting this video to music that anyone over a certain age will quickly turn off, he set it to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. That was no accident. Teevens is a huge Buffet fan ;-)

Swampscott High School on Massachusetts' North Shore inducted nine members into its Hall of Fame and two happened to play football at Dartmouth.

Bill Sjogren '67, was a two-year letterwinner and first-team All-Ivy League offensive guard as a senior. Jason Blydell '08 lettered twice in the Dartmouth defensive backfield and also played outfield for the Big Green baseball team. Blydell went on to a career in the Marines after graduation and a little of his military story was told in the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine in 2012. (LINK)
The Sporting News writes about "16 'small-school' NFL draft prospects with big-time game" and two of them are from the Ivy League – both from Harvard. They are offensive tackle Cole Toner and tight end Ben Braunecker. They are listed on one of those tremendously annoying slideshows on the Sporting News page, or you can go to Yahoo and see the whole story in one take.
The Yale Daily News writes about quarterback Morgan Roberts' bid to make it to the NFL and has an update on the status of former Bulldog battering ram Tyler Varga HERE.
