Check It Out

The third of three posts featuring videos produced for Dartmouth players prior to their freshman seasons in Hanover. Tuesday looked at this year's seniors. Yesterday's video was for this year's juniors. This one is for the rising sophomore class:

From a Worcester Telegram story about Holy Cross quarterback Peter Pujals serving as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy:
With the help of offensive coordinator Brian Rock, Pujals submitted his football resume to Buddy Teevens, the Dartmouth coach and associate director of the Manning Passing Academy.
Pujals impressed and was chosen to be among the select group of counselors.
Pujals, a first-team All-Patriot League selection as a junior, enters the 2016 season ranked third on the Holy Cross list in career completions, pass attempts and yards of total offense.
Teevens probably didn't need very much convincing that Pujals was a good candidate for the Manning camp. He'a already had two good looks at the 6-foot-2, 213-pound quarterback who finished last season third in the country in completions, and fourth in yards passing and total offense.

As a freshman, Pujals completed 25-of-37 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns without an interception and ran 17 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns to lead Holy Cross to a 31-28 win over Dartmouth in Hanover .  On Memorial Field a year later he was 24-of-38 for 208 yards with one TD and two interceptions and ran 19 times for 82 yards as Dartmouth held off the Crusaders, 24-21.

Dartmouth did not play Holy Cross last fall but will face Pujals and the Crusaders on the road for the first time this Sept. 24, when the Big Green travels to Worcester.
