Gearing Up For Saturday

In case you want to coordinate your outfit with the team Saturday afternoon . . .
Towson's game notes have been posted HERE.

Depth charts have become more and more fictional so it's dangerous to put much stock in them. That said, there are a couple of interesting things to note in the published Towson  two-deep.

First, starting tailback Darius Victor, bidding for his third 1,000-yard season in a row, is not on the depth chart after missing last week's game. In his place last week redshirt freshman Shane Simpson ran 13 times for 76 yards and freshman Deshaun Wethington 13 times for 67 yards. They are listed one-two on the depth chart.

Second, Morgan Mahalak, the Oregon transfer who started at quarterback the first two games, is not on the depth chart after being lost to injury. In his place for the fourth game in a row is Ellis Knudson,  a 6-foot-2, 241-pound sophomore.

Which team is Dartmouth playing? The one that is 3-6 all-time against Ivy League teams, or the one that made it all the way to the FCS national championship game before falling to North Dakota State on Jan. 4, 2014?

For what it's worth, Towson is 1-3 against Columbia, 1-1 against Cornell, 1-0 against Brown , 0-1 against Penn and 0-1 against Yale. The Tigers' last game against an Ivy was a 24-10 loss at Columbia on Sept. 25, 2010.
