Monday Mix

Watch Playing Smarter at Dartmouth: The Story Behind the Mobile Virtual Player, from Dartmouth's office of alumni relations, recorded last spring:

This morning's search for more Dartmouth "commits" came up empty. Lots of "offers" but that's it. The calm before the storm? National signing day is next week and while Ivy League athletes don't officially sign, many take part in signing day events and some may want to keep things hush-hush until the last minute.

Ivy-bound athletes don't usually do much in the way of making commitment videos like this one, or choosing from among hats sitting in front of them, but at least one high school senior considering Dartmouth and a couple of other Ivies is teasing his choice:

In case you are wondering, Collin Eaddy is a 6-foot, 200-pound running back from Garner High School in Garner, N.C. Find his Hudl page with highlights HERE. According to MaxPreps he ran for 1,137 yards last fall with 19 rushing touchdowns.

Having a vested interest in last night's AFC championship game were three people Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens knows well. Former linebacker Bronson Green '14, is the Patriots' site operation manager at Gillette Stadium. Former quarterback Dan Rooney '12, is a coaching assistant with the Pittsburgh Steelers. And Omar Khan, who was an undergraduate-assistant under Teevens at Tulane in the mid-1990s, is the Steelers' Vice President of Football & Business Administration. (Thanks for the photo ;-)
