One (Or Two?) More Headed This Way

With a little help from a friend who got up earlier than I did and has a way with Google, today's news features one player definitely coming and one said to be coming to Dartmouth.

Coming this way is 6-foot-1, 180-pound DeKalb, Ill., quarterback Derek Kyler. He posted his decision on Twitter HERE.

Find his highlight video HERE.

From a Daily Chronicle story:
Kyler passed for 2,615 yards and 35 touchdowns and ran for another 1,003 yards as the Barbs reached the state semifinals (in Class 6A) for the first time since 1980, earning the 2016 Daily Chronicle Football Offensive Player of the Year.
Kyler had offers from Colgate and Air Force among others.
Said to be heading to Hanover is Niko Mermigas, a 5-11, 180 receiver/defensive back and all-conference western Pennsylvania performer at North Allegheny, which is already sending teammate Ethan Maenza to Dartmouth.

Darnell Dinkins, a former Pitt player and 10-year NFL veteran who now trains young athletes in the Pittsburgh area Tweeted:
Niko Mermigas 1st team all conference. Committed to Dartmouth, where him and Ethan will continue as teammates.
Mermigas' highlights are HERE.

According to MaxPreps he caught 40 passes for 771 yards (19.3 per) with six touchdowns last fall and ran 21 times for 224 yards (10.7 average) with seven touchdowns. (LINK)
