Here And There

One day after a bone-chilling second football practice of the spring (coverage on BGA Premium) the mercury could hit 60 degrees today with clear, bright skies. The third practice is slated for Tuesday and wonder of wonders the weather services are calling for 75 degrees!
While Dartmouth is just getting going, Winson-Salem State and quarterback Bruce Dixon IV were wrapping up their spring football yesterday with a scrimmage.

With the starter held out after suffering an injury during the week, the transfer from Dartmouth completed 5-of-15 passes for 41 yards with an interception. His main competition for the backup role at the DII school was 4-for-11 for 37 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Dixon told the Winston-Salem Journal:
"I felt like I did pretty well but could have done a better job with my reads. There could have been a few more catches, but overall I think we had a good spring. . . . It’s great competition between Miles and myself. Rod was out, so we had to get in there and play.”
I have no idea who or what Tyrant Scouting is, but it lists Dartmouth senior Folarin Orimolade as the No. 4 small school linebacker on its "big board." That's the good.

The bad is that you have to wonder about a site that doesn't list four-time, first-team All-Ivy League selection Chris Fraser of Cornell among its top 10 small-school punters in the country.

Or that list's Penn's Alek Torgersen third among small school quarterbacks, two slots ahead of Columbia's Skyler Mornhinweg.
Something else called Dynasty Football Factor has a profile of Orimolade HERE.
